SEVS is a group of specially trained doctors who use endovascular techniques to treat vascular diseases, like brain aneurysms, stroke, arteriovenous malformations to name a few.
This is an alternative to older open surgical techniques for most vascular disease, resulting in safer procedures, quicker recovery and better clinical outcomes.
We mostly perform emergency procedures at two of Sydney’s major public Hospitals, Westmead Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital and less urgent or elective work at Macquarie University Hospital, Westmead Private Hospital and Sydney Adventist Hospital.
While not all vascular disease can be treated by any one technique, we work closely with our surgical colleagues and believe in recommending the appropriate procedure whether endovascular or open surgical to each patient based on best medical practice and our own experience and outcomes as well as excellence in procedural technique to provide the best possible patient outcomes.
We are happy to see new patients and discuss treatment options and alternatives as well as playing a role in follow up and long term management of patients.
